How we work it out
The arithmetic, in the open.
- Software: what you pay today a month, less the Dispatch Board plan price. Plan price = the monthly price plus the extra-truck fee for trucks above the plan’s included count ($149 with 5 trucks, +$15 each up to 10 more; $349 with 15, +$12 each up to 25 more; $699 with 30, +$10 each). If you run more trucks than a plan allows, the calculator moves you up a plan. A negative number means Dispatch Board costs more than you pay now, and the total shows it.
- Office hours: loads × minutes per load × share given back × cost per hour.
- Charges: loads × share with an unbilled charge × average charge × share you now catch.
- Totals are monthly figures × 12. Paying for a year up front takes two months off the plan price, which is not counted here.
